There is a debate going on on social media, which brings out the truth that in metro cities, there is a world of difference between the huge salary that appears on paper and the real life expenses. The story of a 27-year-old software developer working in Gurugram is going viral, who despite a good salary, faces financial crisis at the end of the month. He says that from outside people think my income is very high, but I am not able to meet the needs of my family properly.

In a post shared on Reddit, this young man said that after rent, EMI and other household expenses, he has nothing left in his hands at the end of the month. This recently married young man also told about his huge liabilities and loans taken from friends. He also wrote that when he sees colleagues earning double his salary, he feels sad that he is not able to provide a better life to his family.
“Rs 1.5 lakh now seems like only Rs 15,000, I need a good advice,” saying this, he gave a complete account of his monthly earnings and expenses.
She further wrote, "Apart from this, there are big sudden expenses like car servicing, insurance premium, medical bills and needs of parents in the village. After all this, nothing is left in hand." He also told that he is trying to repay the loan of Rs 2.55 lakh taken from friends as soon as possible.
Asking for help from Reddit users, he wrote, "When I see people of my age earning twice as much as me, I feel a lot of mental stress. I am not able to give a good life to my wife and family without any financial problems." He hopes that in the future the situation will improve as a software developer due to promotion and salary increase, but the current situation is very difficult.
Many people gave different types of reactions to this post. One user wrote, "You are getting a better salary than 97-98% of people in India. If others are making ends meet, you too can live better." In response to this, the IT employee said that he does not have any problem in making a living, but this daily financial stress is making him mentally tired. While some people consider it a wasteful expenditure, most people agree that rising inflation and high cost of living in metro cities is a bitter reality.
